QMAP System Requirements
The system requirements for the QMAP product range are as follows:
Hardware:
- Pentium 4 class processor+, with 512MB+ of system memory.
- 120 MB hard disk space for the application files, at least 100 MB for the data files and user work.
Network:
- A 50Mb network link is required to run QMAP over a LAN. Anything less than this is not recommended.
- System Administrators should ensure that users have the correct disk access rights to the installation directory.
Operating Systems and applications:
- Windows 2000 / 2003 / XP are currently the only supported operating systems.
- Users with Lotus Notes may find they cannot use the external mail features of QMAP if Notes does not have MAPI enabled. There is an option to turn on the lotus notes settings in the configuration options.
- Occasionally, Novell server and Windows client configurations have problems with file locking on the server. This can be resolved by ensuring the Windows client is using the Novell supplied Client Service for Netware rather than the Microsoft version.
Web browsers:
- For viewing HTML published output, a web browser that supports JavaScript and PNG images is required. Web output is designed for Internet Explorer version 6 or greater.
- The Scaleable Vector Graphics (SVG) output option requires the Adobe SVG viewer to be installed on each client, which is available on the installation CD.
Elite:
- Windows SharePoint Services version 3 installed and configured prior to the installation of QMAP Elite.
- Minimum requirement of Windows 2003 Server for Windows SharePoint Services version 3.
- Microsoft IIS installed and configured
- ASP .NET version 2.0 installed and configured
- Appropriate SharePoint security rights for QMAP Elite users
